Convenience features include Auto-Start and Auto-Stop at the end of the record, as well as an integrated phono preamplifier. This allows the TD 402 DD to be easily integrated into existing audio systems and enjoyed straight out of the box. The built-in phono stage can be switched off when using an external phono preamplifier.
The Thorens TP 72 tonearm features a special carbon tube construction, providing high rigidity with low mass. The factory-fitted Audio-Technica AT-VM95E cartridge is mounted in a removable headshell, allowing for easy cartridge or headshell changes whenever desired.
